The federal holiday to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is Monday, with a list of events planned in Montgomery.


King was pastor of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in the 1950s and played a key role in several civil rights events in Montgomery in the 1950s and 1960s.
